The ditcher is designed to excel in extremely trashy or wet conditions and operates efficiently with tractors ranging from 60 to 140 HP. It allows for multiple passes to widen or slope ditches, with soil placement ranging from 4 to 8 feet from the machine. A jack stand is included for quick and easy hook-up and disconnection, streamlining operation and setup.
The 20″ 6-paddle impeller, with its hard-surfaced paddles, minimizes shock on both the ditcher and tractor, ensuring smoother operation and extending the machine’s lifespan. The impeller is also designed to be resurfaced as it wears for prolonged durability. Stability is maintained with the drag plate, which prevents gouging and is adjustable via a heavy-duty ratchet jack.
The gearbox features robust components, including large shafts, heavy-duty sprockets and bearings, and a double 80 roller chain. This entire system is enclosed and runs in an oil bath, with an external idler adjustment for easy chain tensioning, significantly increasing the equipment’s service life. For additional functionality, an optional deflector shield enables precise soil control for tasks such as diversions or small terraces. An optional ripper tooth is also available, designed to loosen debris and soil for smoother operation in extremely hard or rocky conditions.
